About Us

‘Kira’ is an endeavor to create accessories that are aesthetically pleasing and organically fit to the body. It stands for the values of slow living, strong character and simple design. Inspired by the natural, fluid  movements around us, the aim is to balance the raw and refined, thus giving a certain flowy and an organic feeling to the label.

The pieces are simple and sculptural, embracing the irregularities and imperfections that come from crafting by hand.
 

Started in 2018, Kira is led by Swati Khatuwala, a graduate in Lifestyle and Fashion Accessories from National Institute of Fashion Technology. The label was born out of her love for being hands-on and experimenting with different materials. She designs, creates, manages the brand, handles social media, interacts with her clients and heads all the other jobs that come with a startup (absolutely loves doing all of this and is a perfectionist!).

While studying design, she discovered the art of handcrafting and its beauty, and that’s all Kira is about, at its core. All the jewelry is handcrafted by her team of skilled artisans, based in Jaipur.  She doesn’t always follow the design process. Instead, she directly works with her artisans, and together, they come up with beautiful textures and pieces that are statement, one of its kind, and unique to the wearer.
